WATERING HOLE

The site (Canning River) struggled against man for survival, I aimed to explore struggle through architecture.

My Thai Tea House blends seamlessly into its setting, the design aims to create a sense of tension and angst whilst also creating an enjoyable watering hole. The structure encourages its occupants to feel wrapped inside a thick forrest boundary establishing a tense atmosphere before warming to the new feeling.

I researched the Yellow Tree Restaurant in New Zealand as inspiration for my design.
